Camp Phillips is a small town in Bukidnon located within one of Del Monte’s plantations. It is home to a vast field of pineapples covering around 9000 hectares of land. So every corner of the place is planted with pineapples.
The first thing you can find as you arrived is the welcome sign which says ” Welcome to Cam Phillips Bukidnon and of course the Big Pineapple which serves as the landmark of the place. Most of the people who are new to Camp Phillips drop by and take photos.
I have been to this place a few times already because my uncle is an employee of Del Monte Philippines and they have a house here. The place is relatively cool and moist throughout the year. People often say that the place is similar to Baguio or Tagatay because of its cool atmosphere. If ever you plan to visit this place, make sure to bring your sweaters or jackets with you.

Food is nothing to worry if you visit Camp Phillips. Fresh foods are available from Del Monte Cooperative store and their choco milk is what keeps me coming back from that store and the sweet pineapples too!
Camp Phillips is just a45 minute ride from Cagayan de Oro City. If you don’t have a personal car, you can ride a jeepney or a van in going there from Gusa Terminal. The jeepney ride would cost around 40-45 pesos while the van ride is 60 – 65 pesos. I find the van ride comfortable because it has less stops compared to a jeepney.
